There are kitchens that serve a purpose and then there are kitchens that set a mood. This latest work by DEP Projects and Interiors belongs firmly in the latter.
From the moment you enter, the space feels deliberate , calm, minimal, but never cold. Every material, every edge, every line has been softened into harmony.
The star, undoubtedly, is the marble: sweeping across counters, wrapping the island waterfall, and climbing the backsplash in one continuous gesture. Its veining brings movement. Its finish, a subtle gleam.
But it’s the way DEP frames it – with light, shadow, and restraint that makes it feel architectural.
Design That Doesn’t Interrupt, But Elevates
The kitchen island doubles as a sculpture , long, monolithic, and quietly commanding. Built into it are two of the space’s most forward-thinking features: a downdraft induction hob and a fully integrated stainless steel sink with a perforated surface and concealed drain.
Each detail supports this ethos. Flush cabinetry hides storage. Built-in appliances disappear behind reflective black glass.
…Even the bar stools, wrapped in matte black, echo the tones of the induction surface, blending into the composition like punctuation marks in a well-written line.

A Masterclass in Light and Lines
DEP uses lighting as both function and form. Linear LED trims trace the architecture, casting a soft glow that accentuates the kitchen’s geometry. Above, slender track lights hover like ink strokes against the white ceiling, while toe-kick lighting beneath cabinets offers a quiet nod to mood and movement.
The cabinetry – high-gloss, handleless, and illuminated, reflects light subtly, never shouting for attention. Vertical stripes in the glass panels add rhythm, while the mirrored ceiling installation above pulls the room upward, creating a sense of scale and balance.
Technology, Discreetly Embedded
Instead of overwhelming the design, technology slips in like a whisper. A flat-screen TV is integrated flush into the wall, positioned for casual viewing without stealing focus. The kitchen is smart — but it doesn’t try to prove it. DEP understands that innovation is most luxurious when it’s invisible.
A Kitchen Meant to Be Lived In
This kitchen is more than a place to prepare meals , it’s a space for rituals. For early morning coffee under soft light. For late-night wine shared at the island. For quiet moments that unfold in rooms designed with care.
With this project, DEP Projects and Interiors reaffirms what thoughtful design can do: elevate the everyday into something enduring, elegant, and entirely personal.
